I'm glad sanders is making animated features again. Due to my NDA I can't talk about how things went at disney. But I think he's a unique creative talent in the animation industry. And it would be a shame if he never made a movie again, but thankfully dreamworks picked him up and he will be able to continue making movies.

Oh, come on, Sky. That's like pouring sugar on the ground to get rid of ants at a picnic... Now you're going to get 1000 IMs begging you to spill the beans...
heh heh
When I heard Chris had left Disney, I mourned it. Lilo and Stitch is one of my favorites. I'm really glad Dreamworks had the sense to snap him up. That's a real strong weapon in their arsenal now and I hope they make the best use of him, and give him enough room and freedom to succeed.
To hear Chris tell it, the reason Lilo was as good as it was is that the Disney suits sort of ignored him. Sanders and company kept the budget low and animated it in Florida, and stayed beneath the company's radar. I guess that's how you made good films at Disney back then... just stay out of the way of the suits.

Oh I wish I could!! :(
You know, it's too bad we'll never get to see Sanders completed version of American Dog. I was looking forward to it more than any other animated film. Sure the movie will come out, but it won't be Sanders vision anymore.
