Star Wars "Clone Wars" Animated Series

Sneek peek preview video of the upcoming Star Wars animated series. Myself being a huge Star Wars geek... it looks pretty good. I am just hoping that it doesn't put a bad mark on a great series of movies.

Looks good. I'm confused a bit though. Didn't they already do this? Will the story pick up where it left off from the one Genndy did? I heard a lot of good things from that series, but never got around to seeing any of it.

Is this a follow-up to the micro series?
I think the first season of the micro series was really good, but I didn't like the 2nd season so much.
Some of the characters look very similar to the style of their micro series counterparts (Obi-Wan, Windu, Yoda),
but some of them look very different again.
It's interesting that they're doing a full 3d version, but I wonder how it will work alongside the micro series.

Interesting questions... it's very confusing.

I think the Star Wars universe benefits from this 3D approach. Those ship scenes have the excitement that was missing in the 2D shows, in my opinion.

Maybe we can find out a bit more info...

Actually, the ships were cel-shaded 3D in the micro series.
