It seems that 3D animation movies (like “Shrek” and “The Incredibles”) from now will entertain adults too.
An article on Adult Video News magazine has announced the first ever high budget fantasy 3D cartoon for adults only.

In my own opinion (dont mean to bash someone here) but I think this sounds really corny. I do enjoy Shrek, Incredbiles and other animated movies like thoose, but dont think there would be any need for sexual interaction between cartoon/animated character to make an entertaining animated movie aimed at adults. I also think there is a charm in itself to watch a movie that can be enjoyed by both adults and kids at the same time. Though this project might be so bad its abit fun anyway its nothing i will jump heads over heels to watch.. just my bit of ranting.. No offence anyone..

I agree Mathias. Except I don't think I'll watch it.
I remember there was discussion a long time ago, maybe in the old forums about adult cg films. I don't see why adult = sex. You would think all these extra years of learning and experience and the higher intellect that adults have would give rise to more ambitious adult cg projects than just sex...
Look at all the imaginative and not necessarily kid-friendly (but not sex-laden) cg shorts that are out there. Why can't those be made into features? (Well, Shane Acker's "9" is set to be...)

I totally agree with you Tevi! There are other topics than sex to make an entertaining adult film. Also, i see nothing wrong in watching movies like Monsters Inc and similar with kids, also to see that you can laugh at the same jokes aswell as you are older react differently to other jokes that are more subtle layered that kids might not find out untill they gained abit experience. I also dont like the view that animation must be for kids only. Though it might be changing abit all the time I still think that studios should find out more about animation that will aim and entertain adults in a thought provocative way aswell. I know there are a couple of projects underway and cant wait to check them out.
