Toy Story 3 slated for 2009. Lasseter won't be directing, but Lee Unkrich looks primed for the job. Article HERE (http://www.slashfilm.com/2007/02/08/toy-story-3-announced-for-2009/).

Thanks for the link, Tokzic.

Interesting....

All I have to say is that atleast they finaly have the right talent working on it. Hopfully it doesnt fall short and become the downfall of the series.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

I'm pretty indifferent about it. Toy Story 2 was pretty good, and I only saw it the one time in theaters, which I guess is a long time ago, but ultimately forgettable for me.

Basically, I didn't think it warranted a sequel other than the fact that SOMEBODY (*cough* Disney *cough*) wanted to make some money. And I guess that they don't feel right just leaving it hanging with 2, they want to complete the trilogy.

What I would be extremely excited about is if we got to see the Incredibles again! But like the Incredibles 5 years later, so the kids get a chance to grow up a little. So Brad Bird and company, you should get on that.

Toy Story 2 worked for me as far as sequals go. if was one of those few occasions where a sequal wasn't bad. and yes. a sequal to the Incredibles...mmm. That's just tasty.

but at the same time I would rather them move forward with orginal content than sequal everything.

In an appearance during Disney's annual shareholder meeting in New Orleans, Lasseter said: "We are finally in production on 'Toy Story 3'," adding the film is scheduled to come out in 2010. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are back on board to voice Woody and Buzz Lightyear, respectively.

The screenplay is by Michael Arndt, who just won the original screenplay Academy Award for Little Miss Sunshine, according to Lasseter, who said: "We got a great story."

Interesting combination.
